@Tordenguden Thank you. That was very interesting =)

@Oleerkilass - the reason german came to the throne was because the norwegian, danish and swedish line of kings were gone, and queen Margarete Valdemarsdatter (daoughterof the danish king Valdemar, and married to the norwegian king Olav) took the power in all three countries after her husband king Olav and their son was dead. She then brought in her german relative Erik of Pomern, and gave him the throne.

@Oleerkilass Not all the work, but when Erik of Pommern and later Christoffer of Bayern had the throne, they brought in their own staff from their home countries (german states). These men got many key positions in the Kalmar Union. Of course there is other factors to why the union failed, like the fact that the Sweden has a tradition for a rather strong an independent nobility, while Norway didnt, as the nobility was allmoast gone after the civil wars, when the kings strenghten their positions

@Tordenguden But why in the world would they find germans to do al the administrational work? Norway, Denmark and Sweden was administrated prity well by their former kings and nobels...
-
@Oleerkilass - due to the hanseatic agression, witch the Kalmar union was found upon. The nordic countries felt threaten by the Hanseatic influence. So, the union was indeed a co - operation, however, in time the swedish nobility was disapointed by all the german who got elected in high positions in their country, and tried to break out. And thats the end of the union. Later on, in the 16th century norway got "anexed" by denmark.
-
@Oleerkilass It was a union, what you call it is irrelevant, as a history student at the uni, with nordic history as main subject i relay upon historians, both danish, norwegian and swedish. The Kalmar was even intended to be ruled by the last norwegian hair, witch died young, and with him the norwegian royal line. But you are right about the fact that the germans became the danish royal line, and much of the danish nobility likewise. The reason the administration was moved to Denmark was -

@Tordenguden I wouldn't cal it a union. It was ruled from denmark, by what later became the dannish royal family.
@Greesovith Erm Poland was a powerful country during the Medieval times. Research your history more..
