Globalization and IT omnipresence have accelerated our access to information, which in turn necessitates a workforce capable of effectively absorbing and utilizing new knowledge and technology. In particular, HRD in the science and technology sector holds significance for a nations sustainable development. This session will discuss ways to develop a select group of workers who will lead a countrys future key industries. Discussion will also cover the global sourcing of scientists, and the training of global leaders in multi-disciplinary sectors and workers with scientific expertise.
