I've seen this at the height of the Revolution (the director's cut -- when they refuse to give in to the authorities (a political statelment: the message of the film) which the Shah's censors made Mr. Kimiaei change the ending in which the two friends give themselves up to the police. My main point is that I've been observant of heroin addicts in real life (and seen every big name American actor do his portrayal of one: not one of these actors comes close to Behrooz's rendition
