@infraredna The spark knock you talk of is called pre-detonation; the nose you are talk of is the car moving at 80+ mph with windows open. The timing in the car was set to 10* btdc just so you know, and that would be the stock ford setting.

what does that run? 12's? i'm just curious cuz i'm doin a 2.3 to 5.0 conversion and its got a b303 cam with edelbrock performer heads with some intake work and 3.73's. so i'm just tryin to get an idea

@GrantEvanGriffith You shouldn't use the stock timing if you had any inclination what so ever to drag race, even on a bone stock motor.
