Terraria 1.0.5 Spawning on a Sky Island

Created a new character just to test to see how easy/difficult it is to find sky islands on a small map. Note the name of the map and character. :)
Did not know this was possible and google brings up no results.

hmm how do u get of ur island if u have no lucky horse shoe u wil fall to dead and respawn lol

@mark01318 quite easy. you can build a stairway down by placing blocks 2 down and 2 over or straight down by placing 2 blocks down then diffing them up. Or you could just jump and hope you hit water.

@ZeggyZon Gues thats a way to get down i wonder what happens if ur spawn point is on the sky island and u dig away most of the island wil u spawn in the air ?

@mark01318 Pretty sure but that sounds like a nice experiment. I'll try and record myself spawning without any ground under me. Perhaps it will be just a continuous fall of death.
