Alan Howarth performs music from his soundtracks co-composed with director John Carpenter. This was a live set at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC April 8,2011. In this clip, the soundtrack music is the theme from "Escape from NY" , next cue is "The President at the Train", a scene with Kurt Russell and Donald Pleasence, special deleted cue "The Bank Robbery"; then a segue to "Christine Attacks", from John Carpenter's film "Christine" This is a first live performance in NYC of the film 's themes by the composer since its release in 1981. Clip is from James Plotkin who is currently editing it into a solo set and a co-performance with" Emeralds", a Cleveland based analogue synth and guitar trio.
