From "The Flintstones". On a black background, a white star swirls down from the top, leaving behind a rainbow trail. It then settles into the center of the screen as it twirls, occasionally shrinking and twisting, forming a circular trail. It then twists into the middle of the circle and comes to a stop. The words "Hanna-Barbera Productions" appear below.

  • This used to scare the crap out of me when I was little! This sure brings back memories! Thanks for posting this!

  • It amazes me that anyone could be afraid of this awesome logo. When I was a kid and I saw that star spinning around with all those pretty colors following it, I knew all was right with the world.

  • ... *whimpers* :(

  • Saul Bass was the creator of this logo. A new book about his career is out. He also created the AT&T logo, not to mention IBM as well as the poster for Vertigo and some of Otto Preminger's films.

  • What the hell is scary about this logo???? OH NO...THE BIG SWIRLY STAR IS COMING TO GET ME, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on now, there are worse things to be scared of...

  • I totally forgot about this, even though, when I was very small, I thought this was the universal sign of cartoons... and I loved it!

  • This logo is simply timeless! There are few others I can think of that last as long as this one did.

  • @whammy850 Same here. Thanks to youtube, I'm starting to wonder if I was the only kid who was never scared of ANY logos, let alone this one (which I actually used to look forward to!)

  • What makes this scary is the music......

  • its fucking VINTAGE.....nostalgic too

  • If "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" did an animated TV Series based on the 1970 film, this would appear followed by the 1976 20th Century Fox Television logo. The theme song for the show would be "In the Long Run" sung by the Carrie Nations (The band in the movie).

  • this was shown at the end of pac man after the cretits
