  • @rson89 You are correct with your analysis about the planes with props, well the one engine might be stretching it a bit. But the Jet engine Aircraft are able to fly back to base with 1 engine. Each engine has its own generator, so they can function electronically with one engine. Now if you have an aircraft with ONE jet engine (F-16 Falcon) I would have to agree with you. if the engine malfunctions, most likely will not be coming back to base.

  • Some of the most terrifying moments of my life where sitting in an Air Force C-130E that was doing combat maneuvers (mid-1980s at Little Rock AFB). Damn, what a ride!

  • @rson89 Planes with Props can Run with 4 or 3 or 2 or EVEN 1 . Planes with Jets are Electrically unable to Function with 1 Jet. More of a security measure due to it's high costs.
