@Xomanowar99 Reservoir Dogs beginning scene was filmed on San Fernando Road and passes by Taylor Yard although it had been downs called quite a bit by then.

I used to walk across this bridge to look at the trains when I was a kid probably in the early sixties.
I remember seeing an old steam engine parked out in the back tracks.

It didn't take long before it went to hell. I was just, out looking at the north end of the yard up by route 2 next to the LA river, and you'd think it had been abandoned decades ago. 8(

. You could see part of the southern end of this yard in the movie Cheech and Chong Up & Smoke. It's an aerial view. They are driving in the 'green' van over I 5.

well, that's not exactly correct. it was because of an oil spill, well, a few oil spills..ok the dam place leak like a sieve! The last oil leak that was the last straw leaked into the LA river and flow down stream to Long Beach Harbor. Yep, state of Calif and LA county and a whole lot of environmental people were looking to put a whole lot of UP officers in jail for this leak
