This is an excerpt from the ABC show 20/20, broadcast on December 2, 2011. For over a year, the show's producers and Diane Sawyer investigated the overuse of psychotropic medications on foster youth. Among the people interviewed are National CASA CEO Michael Piraino and former foster youth Ke'onte Cook, who was able to find a permanent home thanks to the support of a CASA program in Texas. The show is owned by ABC and is only shared here for educational purposes. Learn more about foster youth and psychotropic medications: http://bit.ly/foster_change
these are "legalized drug dealers" who hide behind the law and do worse to society than the drug cartels and maffias of the world. They prey on the weak orphaned children. at least the average crack dealer sells to adults and not children. These little nerdy Psychiatrists are pathetic.

I would save those innocent kids and get them away from Big pharma. I would then protect them myself always

Not gonna happen. The pharmaceutical companies have too much power. The FDA is soon going to approve the "super pain-killers" with no acetaminophin (b/c acetaminophen is much more dangerous that opiates.) An oxcycontin outbreak ten times stronger is prob. not what we need. The only action that can ever be taken is liek that in the Rebecca Riley and David Ragsdale cases where civil suits were allowed against the doctors.

This is criminal and those responsible, from the Head of the FDA to Big Pharma, to the crooked psychiatrists should be charged with the appropriate charges....
