As part of 18 Doughty Street's interview series, Donal Blaney interviews Ambassador Manuel Hassassian whom agrees that there should be dialogue between the west and Hamas, but thinks that the Palestinians should get their own house in order first, including an apology from Hamas for the coup.
Manuel Hassassian will be taking part in Intelligence Squared’s live debate entitled “The Middle East peace process is a charade” in London, Sept 2010. Hear him argue against the motion and ask him questions in person. Go to our website Intelligence Squared for info and tickets. This event can be watched live online worldwide.

You have to ask yourself why Hamas even has a military wing. They're completely inefficient and ineffective when it comes to carrying out military operations.
It's pretty pathetic if you step back and look at it. Hamas provokes Israel than they cry out and play the victim like school yard sissies.
It almost makes me embarrassed to by Palestinian.

Hamas should apologise?
Fateh was letting gangs control the streets while the leaders were in Paris drinkign Champagne, and you know the beaches of Gaza? They were reserved for Fateh and their relatives ONLY ! If anything the people of Palestine should thank Hamas, and I do !
