  • Yeah, it sounds were awful - but this is one reason of the generic-algorithim we are using... so the motors getting comands like (turn on, off, fwd, backward...) and to each comand a time. Everything is randomized. Even with worm gears you will have the same effects, because if the motor turns to long (random) in one direction it leads to some unpleasant effects.. see more at: roberta-home.de/sites/default/­files/EA-24.09.09.pdf

  • It sounds like like it's really straining to move, like it's too heavy and it's putting strain on the motors. You don't want to accidentally burn something out or break it apart. I would have tried using worm gears to provide the strength needed to operate the legs, using a different leg design, or converting it to wheels/treads.
