Following a spate of recent attacks, Turkey is desperate to eliminate the PKK. But as this exclusive report reveals, uprooting them from their heavily armed base in Northern Iraq will be difficult.

The PKK have effectively set up their own mini-state in the mountains, complete with dental surgeries and medical clinics and powered by hydroelectricity. This retreat is guarded by an army of 10,000, making it difficult for the Turks to approach. But with American support, Turkey hopes it will finally crush the rebel movement.

You do not make any sense whatsoever. If violence = killing babies, then Turkish military= Violence= killing babies. The PKK is fighting for a big cause and they have 100s of books and a ideology dedicated to it, and you talk as though the PKK is a few people that got together and planned to kill babies. You have no knowledge yet lots of empty ideas. And what has me being a Kurd or not has to do with anything? PKK has many German, English and other fighters. Not just Kurds.

I do need to compare China and Turkey because China has the biggest population on earth yet Turkey has more political prisoners. That says A LOT about the state of the Turkish government and the fate of peaceful/academic Kurds. Stop trying to brush important facts under the carpet. And why are you going on about national security? It really doesn't mean anything when that country is 'securing' itself at the expense of 20million people and their freedom and right to life.
