Bozzio is probably the most coordinated drummer ever. Some of Bozzio's ostinato patterns are so advanced that I think even Colaiuta would have to spend a while on them to learn and perform them.

@FaaGood He played for Frank Zappa and played in Missing Persons. He has also done work with Korn, Jordan Rudess, and U.K.

does he play in some band?
-
wish i´d never be his drum technician

When I met him in clinic w/ Louis Bellson in 1991 he could NOT pay like this. HE IS AWLAYS EVOLVING. Respect for that.
-
@cannonball21 That would be why it is called CAIRO.

my drum teacher taught me this rhythm called maksum that you play on an Egyptian dumbek. and it's the same thing as what Terry Bozzio is playing between the bass and hat!

@jazziestge0ff I am, that definitely takes a lot of concentration and skill, especially since it wasn't just a straight beat, had some complexity to it.
is anyone else really impressed that he continued the part on the feet the whole time?

Wow! Superb performance! Sounds very middle-eastern.
