If I understand the US constitution correctly, there is a need for separation of religion from state. There should be no arguement on making sure there should be no religious practice in state activities such as city counsel meetings. By doing so is going against the constitution and if America values their constitution so much, they should adhere to this.

Beginning with the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the U.S., the rights of minorities are protected from abuse by the majority. Christians are the overwhelming majority religion in the U.S. Other religions and the non-religious are protected from domination by Christians.

How can you make an unconstitutional practice a legal city ordinance? Hello? How does a city ordinance trump the Constitution of the United States? Where did this city attorney get his law degree--Regent University?
