Since the guy I got the car from lied about everything I think I'll just replace the sensor/connector,the water pump and have the system flushed since I've already spent 400$ on parts!on the bright side it isn't as bad as it could have been I thought the engine had blown

I just bought the car a week ago so I don't know if its been changed but by the looks of it I would say nothings been changed

The cap is in good condition and the fan is coming on at the right temp the car isn't overheating just running hotter then it should
I have a coolant leak on the passenger side of my Saturn. It only happens hours after the car has cooled down. Would this be the water pump ? I recently replaced the radiator. I thought it might be a air pocket but it has done this for 3 days now and I have been unable to see where it is leaking. Maybe the fan is not kicking on ?

@dakotarazzle It does sound like a bad water pump to me.

I have the temp gauge and if you look at it like a gas gauge it used to run at 1/4 tank now its at almost 1/2 tank if that makes sense

@dedski7 Sounds like you have a possible problem with the engine coolant temp sensor has it and the connector ever been changed.

My temp/radiator level light is on and the car is running slightly warm yet the fan works thermostat is new and waterpump shows no sign of failure should I change it anyway I'm stumped

@dedski7 Is the fan coming on when it should 226deg and what about the condition of the cap on the expansion tank which can lead to overheating.
