  • Thank You Sandy for your prompt response via myspace messaging service...hopefully ill see you on the weekend of May 5th in Atlanta...(A. Parxaridis and P. Kongalidis will be there)

  • "As for the women dancing Atsapat, this has been documented by 2 sources that I know of, Niko Zournatzidis and Kyriakos Moisidis. It was done specifically in the village of Matsouka by men, as well as the women. Also, a friend of mine, who's grandfather is from Matsouka, told her stories of how the women from Matsouka still did Atsapat on their own in modern day Athens in the 1950's. So, there is some proof that this was done." -Sandy Papadopoulos

  • "...a "Parakath" is the get together after the actual glendi, so you can't really consider it a full on "glendi" or a mouhapet for that matter, because it is not as intimate. Its somewhere in between the glendi and the mouhapet." -Sandy Papadopulos

  • I accidentally deleted someone's comment: "it was nice nice,

for one though, a parakath is the GLENDI not the after party LOL

and females should NEVER dance atsiapat....please so more research."
