This is a test of a centrifugal fan that I have converted to try and use it for micro hydro.

The head on this site is about 1 meter but I am only able to get 0.5m due to the size of the turbine, this is why the nozzle is at the wrong angle.

Currently the set up has no bearings, which is not helping and the nozzle has no means of automatically adjusting for flow.

The alternator is a small Axial Flux single rotor unit that will designed to run at speeds greater then this turbine will produce, hens no light from the bulb.

  • @sylvanenergy Best I can do with what time I have. Nice little turbine that I have learnt lots with.

  • gear it with some car pullys to spin it faster.
