Why not compare two vehicles in the same class? One is made for off roading and rugged use while the other is made for fuel efficiency and convenience. The Hummer can tow 8,000 pounds and climb a 16 inch vertical wall. It can wade through 25 inches of water and climb a 40 inch incline. Its traction control system is so advanced that it can crawl up a 10 percent incline with only one wheel contacting the ground. Comparing a hummer to a smart is like comparing a butter knife to a steak knife.

@llamaslyr How many H2 drivers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: 5. One to screw in the lightbulb, and 4 others to hop in one of their H2s and drive to the local hardware store and buy a generator because the first H2 owner couldn't afford to pay his electric bill because his Suburban H2 only gets 8 miles to the gallon and that's where all his money goes. Luckily, all the other drivers AND the generator fit comfortably in another H2, with some room on top for a manly dead deer.

This is horribly deceiving commercial. It implies that the Hummer's range is less than the Smart Car's. A Hummer H2 gets 14 MPG and has a 32 gallon fuel tank, while a smart car gets 50 mpg and has a 9 gallon fuel tank. Therefore, while the Hummer's fuel performance is less than the smart's, the gasoline consumption for both vehicles is proportional to its tank capacity. (hummer's range is around 448 and the smart's range is around 450 miles) Therefore, to imply that an H2 lacks range is wrong.
