This is a music video for the film "Dead Again". The song I used is "Old Souls", sung by Jessica Harper, from the 1974 film, "The Phantom of the Paradise". In short, I don't own anything in this movie. :)

I remember when you posted it several years ago. Not only did the vid fit a beautiful song perfectly, but I had to wonder-this is rhetorical-Since this movie means so much to you and coupled w/ the song, there's gotta be a story there-someone who touched you deeply. I have a few of those myself, hope yours worked out for you.

And I agree. Certain souls DO enter and touch our lives for a reason. That's why I love this song. We're all stars floating about, forever shaping into new constellations with each new life (yes, call me a sucker, but I believe in reincarnation). :)

The movie is called "Dead Again" and it's one of my favorites. It tells the story of an unsolved murder that took place in the 1940s and years later, the reincarnations of the two people (the woman who was murdered and her husband who was falsely accused and executed for the crime) come back and must figure out who the real killer was before the vicious cycle can repeat itself. It's a great film and, like I said before, is one of my favorites.

Bravo! a wonderful use of Old Souls (and Phantom of the Paradise)! have you seen the interview with Paul Williams, where he says that this song is his favorite out of all the songs he has written? i don't blame him, it's beautiful.
