This is not a "Rant" as stated in your title. It's an essential perspective, and one that I share. It's an aspect of U.S. history that too many Americans refuse to acknowledge, which makes mutual respect, empathy, and unity much more difficult to achieve. What's more, 1Joyeux's use of the "N" word is deplorable. I urge us all to listen more, lose the displaced anger, and work toward peaceful relations.

@1Joyeux Gates got into Yale because he scored over 1500 on the SAT's -- when it was difficult to actually do that. That score extrapolates to an IQ in the top one percent of test takers. Ironically, the average IQ of racists such as you is in the bottom 42%, according to a Yale study, LOL.
