Absolutely right. I love this album. TP is great for not selling out and actually taking a stand.

@stripes923 It's probably true, but not new. When I ran sound and managed a pretty big band in the 80's, if we opened for a "Bigger band," we would be told that I could only use about a third of the watts and speaker system. The rule is, don't let the opening act blow your doors off. I saw that happen in 1976-77, when a relatively unkown Van Halen blew Ted Nugent out of the Capital Center in Maryland.

I heard this on the radio, and was actually moved. So I knew it was TP and I looked it up because when I spent $80 to sit in seats behind the stage a few years ago @ CA Mid-State fair, he WAS Johnny. The show sucked, he spent more time changing guitars then playing and was lackluster at best. I guess it's easy to write about what you know!

If it costs a little more it was worth it, you can count on that. And that extra cost isn't for TPHB it's the Orchestra absorbing all the money for travel & expense & wages.

the ignorant tossers in the audience shouting ''get on with it'' and ''play the music'' when Tom is speaking at the end of this song need to learn some respect! If Tom wants to talk, then Tom should talk! End of story.

I remember freeform radio stations - Berkeley CA - then FCC  demanded strict formats -- DJ's quit in protest - 1968 - 69 I should check dates.....
