From the concert at Key Arena, Seattle, WA in 2004.

If you wish to experience this song as it would've been played live in Metallica's golden age, listen to Alcoholica's cover of Dyers Eve.

  • This song is slow compared to mechanix by megadeth. MEGADETH RULES LONG LIVE DAVE MUSTAINE

  • All you people saying Lars sucks for not doing double bass should realize this:

Double bass at even half this speed is so unbelievably hard. It takes so much to even get up to speed, let alone build up the endurance to stay at that speed. Unless you're in peak condition, you can't do it for this song like the studio. The double bass in this song puts the double in any other metallica song to shame really.

  • Metallica pure!!! The good old times. Trash forever!!! That was a good one for Cliff Burtons Riffs!!! ;))

  • Y did they never play this beack in the late 80s early 90s..

  • He doesn't play DB on Dyers Eve.

I don't care how low it's mixed in the song, there is no DB.

  • There is Double bass, If you'd been there live you'd noticed that, it's just that the Livemet' mix sucks... Go to a Metallica show man, you'll hear the D-B LOUd and clear

  • This version sounds empty w/o lars' double bass....

oh well, the song is still kick ass.

  • solo kicks ass

  • I just went to see them last night best show on the planet, these guys are getting up there but there performance never falls short, they play there fucking hearts out everytime.
