  • education - stop hogging their manes would help. I have seen the condition of horses in honduras - emaciation is a huge problem to, yet they have hectares of fabulous grass and don´t feed it to the horses. Another huge problem is tourists who continue to pay to ride on the beach, or up into the rain forest on horses clearly not fit to do so, with hard thin saddles that are damaging the spines of the horses because they are a ´one size fits all´. The very horses they would report at home

  • Omg we have loads of them! My dad keeps buying them for no reason because he forgets my horse rips them off in seconds. Will collect them and send them off asap (very busy at the moment though, as soon as i have time to spare ill do it)

  • makes me cry seeing those poor horses

  • This is terrible, I would love to help. one other question, why are the nose bands like that? It looks like the horses are having trouble breathing and need to walk (without the load) for a while.

  • I have just bought three fringes through the WHW facebook page. Watching that video made me want to cry, I am the sort of horse owner who panics over every tiny cut (well not quite, but I certainly wouldn't allow massive sores like this to develop). Good on you WHW for helping these poor disadvantaged horses out.x

  • @LaRanaTJ I travelled from mexico to panama over 6 weeks last year and spent time in Honduras (passed through the cities to travel to the mosquito coast). Such skinny horses but so much grass!

The worst I saw were in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. In Granada where there were carriage rides. Are people paying and helping the horse to be fed? Are they paying for neglect? Where does the money go? Animals are not a luxury to them as they are to us and it's so hard to comprehend the whole situation.

  • OMG, can't their owners see that their hurting them? I know they say its down to poor education on equine management but come on...u don't need any horse knowledge to know that an open wound is gonna hurt...their not that fucking stupid. And you don't need any qualifications to know when a horse needs feeding, the clue is their bones protruding...They use their equines like cars, inanimate objects that are there to do a job, no matter what condition. Makes me realise how well my horses have it!

  • I don't understand how these ppl. I understand ignorance and lack of funds, but how smart do you have to be to tie some string around the top of the horses head and attach some string to hang down over the eyes. There, a make-shift flyfringe. This just really upsets me. You can use material around you to TRY to make your animals more comfortable. But it SEEMS they just simply dont care! .. ?? tourists! STOP supporting this!!

  • this makes me so sad........................

  • im gunn age 90000000000000000000000000000000 of them

  • I cried

  • OMG I AM SO GOING TO TRY TO GET LIKE 9 OR MORE NEW GREAT ONES AND DONATETHEM!
