Important Information You May or May Not Need To Know + Ultimate Creative Commons Video For SSBB

Hello all. I expect that the information within this discription will pertain more to those who view this video within the first 24 hours of the upload date. Mainly because it is you who watch these little videos of mine without anyone else asking you to.

Since descriptions do have a character limit, here's what I gotta say.

Firstly, this video contains a buncha footage I didn't really want to see get deleted. The montage I made wasn't big enough to include everything, and these are some of the scenes that probably could of made the cut if it had been a minute or two longer. I uploaded this under Creative Commons, so anyone may take anything from this video and use it as their own. You may even copy and paste the whole video to your own channel.

But here's the real purpose of this video. I want to explain that I have outgrown UltimaBrawler. I have a number of reasons for feeling this way.

1. Everyone plays the name game. Some names sound cool to us when we're little, but these can be outgrown with time. Some names sound sucky to us now, but we get used to them over time. For me, I can't tell someone my YouTube name IRL with a straight face anymore. It suits Brawl, but that's it.

2. People expect a lot from me in online matches because of my name. I probably should of thought about that all those years ago, but now I end up paying for it. I'm really not that good at SSBB, I'm just an average player in the grand scheme of things.

3. I would like an account that can bridge the gap between two fanbases. IRL and YouTube. UltimaBrawler is suiting for you guys watching this right now, but I can't really entertain people I know IRL (unless it's close friends) without something they can relate too. I need a common attribute, a way of identifying myself as part of this community while still letting others know that I'm a person they know.

A voice.

4. I'm heading into my most important year of high school soon. I know how much of an aid YouTube and video editing can be in certain classes, but once again, having it under "UltimaBrawler" doesn't seem right. My Media Studies teacher from last year saw my channel and it was awkward. 0_0 Plus, I wouldn't be able to spend too much time making editing-heavy videos for leasure purposes anymore.

5. It's everyone's dream to be able to make a little extra cash off of YouTube someday. Based off of this channel's stats, I do have a fair chance at earning partnership if I applied... Problem is, I don't own the rights to all the content I use. All the music I use for the Montages and Upload Requests aren't mine, and I can't cheat the companies who made the music so awesome.

BUT

Have no fear, I'm not leaving UltimaBrawler. I will still remain active. It would be kinda stupid to delete my account now, considering I'd lose everything I had ever done. I will continue to take Upload Requests for this channel. Unfortunately, I cannot see myself making another montage for TFA. Sorry.

I plan on doing commentaries... I've seen so many YouTube and IRL friends be able to make commentaries, I feel like I'm missing out. Not so much that I'm trying to fit in, but it looks fun being free to talk about whatever and not have anyone force you to say anything. Plus, commentaries count as original content, meaning a commentator owns the rights to the video commentary that they do (providing that they aren't playing music in the background from other sources). So that's the route I'm going to take.

I'd love to make commentaries for SSB4 someday, but I can't say for certain I'll be around when it releases. My guess is that it'll release either May 2014 if NOT delayed, or Holiday 2014 if delayed once or more. So for now, it'll be SSBB.

Dare to take the jump? I will admit, I really suck at commentaries right now, but I WILL get better the more videos I commentate. It's only natural.

The channel is really bare right now but... If you've read this far, I'm now known as, "GeocentricMedium". I like the name, it sounds like a true, all-around gaming channel (to me, anyways). Add me as a friend if you'd like. It's completely up to you.

Upload Requests may now come in three variations:
1. Standard (You give me music, I'll upload, UltimaBrawler only)
2. Creative Commons (I upload without music, you get it on your channel, UltimaBrawler only)
3. Commentary (I upload with commentary, GeocentricMedium only)

Oh my! Your teacher must have been like, "... Um..." And that must've been quite awkward, same reason I don't share my youtube channel with my friends. Anyway, it's good to know you'll be continuing, I would truly be shocked if you were to leave. And, commentaries sound like a great idea! Go for it! :)

@Flare1015 Thanks! Yeah, my teacher only found it since I needed to upload that video about violent video games a while back for a presentation. I didn't think she'd go back and watch it again after the presentation. D:

Also, for your Mario combo video... Well, I dunno if this would be an issue or not, but you may credit me (if you do credits at the end) as either UltimaBrawler or GeocentricMedium. But I think people just know me as NO GO the most. :D How's the footage collection going?

And, I depleted my character limit XD The last thing I wanted to add is that the reason it's not going so well is that not as many people as I had anticipating are participating. The people I can name off the top off my head that are participating are Car, Sam, Tyler, Mx, Lil T, Zero, and yourself. Sonik still has yet to send me some replays, so I'm waiting for those, and, I'll be sure to put a link to your channel in the description for your support. Both of them of course :D

wow 5 hours on that description. and whats the diff with that license?

@Tyremion CC (Creative Commons) allows people to take your video and make one of their own attributions to YouTube with the footage you provide. It's good because no one needs to do any downloading or anything, YouTube pretty much copies and pastes the video. The original video is sourced within the description too, so you can't have your work "stolen."

Although the description is long, you are an English pro now. You could write circles around me. :D Grats once again on getting gr 12 EN early.

Sure! I usually reference you as "UltimaBrawler," mostly because I find that name cool :D So, if you don't mind of course, I'll be using that name.

Ah the footage isn't going smoothly, but it's doing alright. I have only 10 solid clips ready, and it won't be too long, so it'll have about 40 clips totalling to about 4-5 minutes. Thanks for your support :)
