Genesis 22 -- what do you think the command of God to Abraham to sacrifice sacrifice his only son Issac was a foreshadow of? Elijah was taken alive into heaven; so too Enoch. And LAZARUS WAS BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD!

@staywithtruth Jesus died to rescue all the saints from Hades and to destroy death. Jesus didn't die to forgive sin. God forgave sinners all over the old testament(Nineveh). There was no death required to forgive sin; Jesus death was only required to destroy the affects of the original sin which brought death to the human race. God forgave sin on countless occasions however he never brought a soul back to life not even a righteous one; that's why Jesus came.
