  • No I don't although I own a low grade Avengers #1 with a Stan Lee auto at the bottom of the 1st page but it was done prior to CGC. I think Signature Series books are cool but I don't like it on high grade expensive gold/silver age books, especially on the front cover. Go to comiclink and in the search type Incredible Hulk and look at the high grade #5 and #6 sig books. Would u have done that to those books? Also a high grade Avengers #4. On the bottom first page maybe but not on the cover nooo.

  • You have out done yourself again. As always, your videos are very informative, especially for someone like myself without a background in Golden Age Comics. The history (WW II) surrounding those Adventure comics are amazing. Have you considered a "Very Best Of" for all your videos. If you were a pop star, you would have had several of those out by now...Looking forward to Part 16.

  • @Burco1 Thanks. I have been considering something like that for a long time. Six of my books are from the same collection with a 7th on the way. When that one arrives, I might make a vid of them. They are from the early 40's and yes the history surrounding them is amazing. Since I submitted all of them, I got to look through them and enjoyed seeing the war themed stories inside that kids were reading back then. Stay tuned but it'll be awhile as that 7th one isn't cheap.

  • Even though you work at McDonalds, your investments in comics will pay off definitely in the future when they get even higher priced

  • @86celtics I see your point about messing with the covers.. The signature takes away from the beauty of the cover in those particular cases. I wonder how many times in one sitting they ask Mr. Lee to sign comics. Two CGC Signature comics I purchased have his signature in a white pen. His signature is somewhat difficult to see although it dosn't really affect the cover. The jury is still out on these CGC's.

  • Do you own any Silver Age CGC Stan Lee Signature comics? I attended the NYC Comic Con two weeks ago and several of them caught my eye. So what did I do...I had to buy them. What is your take on the Signature Series?

  • @kamphychair No, I am sorry. 86celtics is right. The first experience of the Shining Knight is in Adventure Comics #66. The subtitle of #67 is irritating.

  • i beleive you mean the adventure comics 67 was the 1st appeirence of the shining knight because if you look at the top it says new the shining knight!
