  • Greenwich House Music School has not one but two of Arrau's students on faculty!

  • no puedo creer que un pianista de tal magnitud haya muerto, no lo puedo creer me hubiera gustado haber nacido antes para poder conocerlo.

  • I love this version! I just picked up this piece and find the right hand a little bit challenging to play.

  • Mozart wrote this in Paris after his mother that travelled with him had passed away. He was only 22 years old. That makes me realize that humility is not an unnecessary luxury....pure genius and a great performance by maestro Arrau!

  • @arturon111 There is not such a thing as a "best performance" of anything. There are different artists with different approaches, different visions, different sensibilities. At most this may be the performance YOU like best, but there may be persons who prefer other versions.

  • Bravissimo!

  • @mydymydy THIS IS THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THIS SONATA, what is "worse in your opinion" this is as perfect as it gets in all levels, technical, musical, and spiritual....

  • Nothing but too fast! Worse than others!

  • @valmusic This isn't Mozart's 7th Piano Sonata, it's the 8th. Piano Sonata No. 7 is K.309 and is in C Major. I have the book in front of me right now. :)

  • @ibk1980 Yeah, Baldwin and Yamaha...they're really not for Classical Music. I try SO hard to get a soft sound out of those, you just can't. I play much better on a Blüthner or Steinway, or any piano that was manually assembled, instead of being made by a machine.
