Apx 16:39 on 4/28/2008; Jewel-Osco gas station on corner of US-12 and Big Hollow Road in Fox Lake.

Guy with woman and, I think, a baby filling up car with engine running. Just to add a little insult to injury, they are also filling it up while sitting in car with doors closed (it was chilly) instead of monitoring the tank. I have a disagreement with someone...one of use says this is illegal, the other just thinks its dangerous and immoral...does anyone know?

Even though this is about a year and a half old, I'll just add this.

It isn't illegal.

The only thing this is, is against the recommendations of the gas station, and a disregard for the safety of the driver, his family, the other patrons of the gas station, and the gas station property owners.

I, still to this day, find no problem running the engine and filling as long as you're discharged and your vehicle is in good running order, but STAY OUT OF THE CAR REGARDLESS!
