I love this movie, but I would stand in line to see this film again with this kind of soundtrack. You guys are hilarious. Just brilliant and clever as hell. Well done!
-
This is very funny. Obviously you rehearsed almost as hard as Lucy did for this number! Every joke/line is right on cue! Do more bad-casting movies!! How about Roz Russell in Gypsy? Or Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady??
You know, keep this up and you could be the next Marni Nixon!
-
I keep coming back to this! Does that make me sick as you?
-
Looks like they used linoleum on the camera lens to film Lucy. I like her on TV but in the movies, she can't sing, or dance. She destroyed the Mame.
-
You are to funny!!!I can't stop laughing.
-
This is a lot funnier and more entertaining than the actual movie, which was stupendously bad.

Our handsome Latino husband is his own country now but he will be back in BCN on Wendnesday and we will be together Friday night. We are looking forward to his massive and beautiful uncut sizemeat with ENORMOUS low hangers.
Discuss!

This is just retarded as FUCK! LOL

This is pathetic and not funny at all. This version of Mame is one of my all time favorite movies. I did see the original with Rosalind Russell, but was bored without the music. Lucy might not have had the greatest singing voice but she brought character to the movie.

It sure sounds like Lucy singing! Either her or Harvey Fierstein! No, actually Lucy had a deeper voice than Harvey.
Hope I'm not taking the lyrics too seriously, but did a co-star get canned in this case or are we talking about the madame's infamous temper in general ??

Madeline Kahn was to have played Gooch, but Miss Ball was not amused. It worked out to her advantage in the long run because she was then available for "Blazing Saddles."

Lucy's problem was she wouldn't let anyone direct her. Poor Gene Saks! If you think this is unkind you should read what Roz Russell said about Lucy's performance. OY!

Well, Lucy wanted George Cukor (not that she'd have let him direct, either), but lost him when she broke her leg. I do know what Roz Russell said: that if she'd been in charge of casting that movie she'd have chosen "Cher Bono" (Cher was married to Sonny at the time) over Lucille Ball. Ironically, Cher was supposed to do a new version for TV a few years ago, but it fell through; now she's older than Lucy was when she played Mame!

I'm sorry it upset you. Just a little irreverent fun. Considering the horrendous reviews Ms. Ball got initially (and the nasty things said about her performance to this day, in books on musical theatre and movie musicals--even ex-husband Desi warned her not to do this movie), a spoof such as this couldn't have come as any surprise to her.
