A family of feral cats - Psycho mama, 4 babies and "uncle Stripe" here, took up residence in our back yard in November 2010. We fed and socialized them (except mama is too wild) and started feeding them inside. This month, we nabbed two of the babies, and found a new home for them. last week we invited the other two babies and Stripe to come inside. that's when we discovered Uncle Stripe was Auntie Stripe. she was spayed 2 days ago, and is adapting well to her ten days with an E-collar.

  • I'm so sorry - I "groomed" Stripe using a real soft damp washcloth. Her fur, feet, butt - everything. I use a saucer for moist food, she can reach it with the e-collar, tho' she can't see the food. The last bit I hand feed. Dropper for water, but I also float a few pieces of kibble in water in the saucer, and she laps it up a little. I groom her face after eating, and scratch her head, chin, ears several times. So far so good. 4 days post surgery, 3 with no tears (mine)

  • Awwww!

  • my cat is currently in surgery

  • You cat looks happy. Mine got a bad abcess on his foot & licked it so much it started bleeding so I had to take him to the vet hospital. He is sleeping fine with his e-collar, but I'm wondering how long to leave it on. The vet said 3 days, but it doesn't seem long enough. Just curious, did anyone else have this happen & how long should I leave it on for?

  • My cat was spayed three days ago and she is hating every E-collar minute! She is finding it impossible to groom and she isnt feeling good about herself at all:-( I feed her by hand and give her water by syring as she just cant manage it. Not only that, as she cant use her wiskers she bumps into things. 2 seconds withouth the collar she went straight for her stitches so i cant remove it.
