I marinade my jerk chicken for a couple day before i cook on the grill. Is that uncommon? Is it wrong? Is it okay?

i look forward to trying your recipe lesley it looks very good i like the way the rice was prepared as well.....and as far as lenorc being irritated being jamaican not sure why there is no 1 recipe that is right when it comes to making jerk chicken i have eatin it in jamaica several different ways on many occasions and they are all good in there own waY
