Video footage of two études by Moritz Moszkowski. From Carnegie Hall, 1988.

1. Ètude No. 13, from "Études de Virtuosité", Opus 72
2. Ètude No. 6, from "Études de Virtuosité", Opus 72

Ilana Vered made the first complete recording of Moszkowski etudes.

I also recommend her website: http://www.ilanavered.com/index.html

Known primarily for his piano pieces, Moszkowski was himself a brilliant pianist and educator. The legendary Paderewski was quoted as saying, "after Chopin, Moszkowski best understands how to write for the piano." Among his students were Thomas Beecham, Vlado Perlemuter, Gaby Casadesus, Joaquín Nin, and Joaquín Turina.

Ilana Vered made a brilliant Moszkowski recording which includes his fifteen "Études de Virtuosité". Salon music at its best!
