Please read my blog post for all the info you need including how the cameras were set up. Which cameras were used and so much more!

Part 1 is about resolution. Part 2 is skin tones, codecs and low light

Please remember the C300 is pre-production so may not be representative of the final image

  • Brilliant vlog. Thank you for posting this Phillip and crew!

  • What is the music you used with this footage?

  • Fascinating comparison!

You mentioned that the FS100 would colour grade better when using an external recorder. Got any suggestions for external recorders?

    Thanks for this Shootout! Amazing!

  • Nice, u finally uploaded. ;)

  • Very helpful insight! thanks for posting it.

Would also be great to see a motion testing on these cameras, like how do they do shooting from a car or a train. That I believe would show some big differences between the GH2 and the C300.

Thanks Philip, have a good year.

  • The more I see of the C300 the more I want one.

  • @DrewForShow You can get the body for only $899 or with a lens $999. I don't have the Driftwood hack. I don't see the point... Video quality is already really superb...

  • @filmmakerjoe27 What's the price of a GH2? And do you use the deadwood hack?
