Sorry it's dark, it gets dark about 16:30 this time of year. I like to spend the weekend with the kids as much as possible, which leaves biking out...

Just more random nause :)

Update (3rd December 2008) Funny how I entitled this "Queen and Country" in the queens speech today (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7762675.stm) she states:

"The bill would also improve the coroners service, and the process of death certification and provide increased support for bereaved families including the families of service men and women."

I don't know exactly what that means, but let's hope it means more than what we heard in my video.

  • totally support your troops regardless of what they are made to do by their chain of command... i can't stand how vietnam veterens have been treated because people think that we shouldn't been part of that war.. nonetheless, our troops are risking their lives for us... yanks, i don't know how i feel about that phrase, i guess we are yanks and our war of independence is probably considered to you as a uprising revolt..

  • Yanks? Is that insulting? I'd hope not. I got it from my Grandad, he called all americans yanks, not in a derogitory way...

    Just like Poms, Limeys etc.

  • Here's another one for you, ever heard of Depleted uranium, I did'nt either until I left the forces, and have spent the last 4 years being tested for it, which the MOD did nothing to help and according to the results I have not got it, but I have a blood disorder which cannot be identified ? And as for help forget it, when I phoned the families officer about it, I was told straight, "Fuck off your a Civvi Now" how's that for after care ?

  • Just echo's my point further. You fight for Queen and country, then what do they do for you? That is pitiful, someone should be fighting your the forces rights.

  • Top Man Sven, its good to hear people defending the boys, I had 10 years of it, be under no illusions, the job is shit, the pay is shit, the accommodation guess whatits shit, but the boys can put up with that, what really fucks you up is when your Home and have to put up with abuse and crap from fucking civvies whos only perspective on a life in the forces is the crap they get fed on TV and films.

  • I like the website "liveleak" for real news. Things that would go unreported, videos that you'd never see in the news. (There's a lot of rubbish on there, but if you sift through it you can often get some good interesting insights.)

  • I personally don't think it's derogatory or anything, just not used to hearing it so often... or at all, i have several coworkers in london and also a good friend from the UK and surprisingly this was the first time i've heard it describe american and not just the yankees MLB team...
