  • @Thomas05091942 It was my pleasure. ¡De nada!

  • @jorgerundez

Thank you for the correct spelling. I should have known as my wifes family is from Zaragoza, Spain. Muchisimas gracias.

  • @irkofan

Yes, I can imagine father Ronnie! :) I have a lot of Irish friends who are priests - some I grew up with. Thank you for your comments.

  • @Thomas05091942 He went to Spain on a whim. He stated himself that teaching English was a bit of scam--they weren't professional tutors of the language, but he and his friends tried to pass themselves off as such. He did not learn much Flamenco guitar, and thus never became terribly skilled at it. He was inspired to play from watching American Western movies that had featured the art in them. Up until the telephone exchange job, he wanted to be a preacher. Imagine that--Father Drew. Haha!

  • WONDERFUL......

  • @jorgerundez Just for the sake of orthography, I would like to correct "shake" to "sake", but I cannot XD

  • Just for the shake of orthography, it is ClavElitos...

Anyway, I would like to speak English as good as they speak Spanish.

  • My wife and I enjoyed the company of Ronnie Drew and his wife, along with all the Dubliners.

For those that do not know Ronnie, he graduated from college and went to Spain to teach English (with a Dublin accent!). He also learned how to play flamenco guitar (which is one of my interests along with Irish music), and learned more than a bit of Spanish.

Ronnie and the boys recorded a song from Chile, Yo Vendo Unos Ojos Negros, which is a favorite of my wife and myself.

  • Love it! Thanks for posting!!!!
