Description of the video content: This video entitled, The Grammar Police: Why Learning Grammar Matters utilizes special editing techniques available in Windows Movie Maker.
Instructional objective: Students will see real life image clips of signs containing grammarical errors, and video clips of people speaking incorrectly. The purpose is to demonstate to students that having a good grasp of written and oral English language conventions can be important in the workplace.
Description of the special technique demonstrated and the software, hardware, or other tools used: Using Windows Movie Maker, I explored slowing down film in key areas to emphasize the speech when errors in grammar occured. I also played with speeding up the video in key areas for comedic effect.
In the later days of the Roman Empire people held extremely liberal views on language. The result, the empire crumbled and hundreds of years later the different ways people spoke Latin had turned into entirely new languages in newly separated cultures that used to be united by a common identity but had grown apart.
Saving America from the fate of Rome is simple, mind your grammar! Speak with consistency and clarity. Limit the fancy metaphors and figures of speech when you talk around children.

...smart kids who want to learn about real things rather than concern themselves with deciphering all the little lies people these days put into speech(especially those lies people put into speech trying to be politically correct).
What's more important, the intellectual progress and evolution or inventing new ways to express things out of vanity or a misguided attempt to polite?
Other countries have language associations that standardize language. America should have its own too.

People have no idea how important grammar is for society to function.
Imagine a world where every person took it upon themselves to decide the meaning of words and which ones they would use.
