  • I am soooo glad you had the presence of mind to tape this. I can't tell you how many all-night tag sings I have been part of...and they were never recorded! Thanks! I had a great time watching you guys have fun with it!

  • @jstinemire HA I can't really take credit for having the camera. Someone else took it and gave me the footage to me later to split up :)

  • haha that was hilarious!! Great stuff and two outstanding quartets!! What is it that Eric hold in his hand in every single video? the red cup.. it can't be a drink, looks more like ice cream to me, but that's just absurd :)

  • Yes, Eric always eats his ice cream in a cup...nobody knows why...

  • I understand why he would want to eat it in a cup, but why the hell would you wanna eat ice cream while you're singing :) We don't want to make them vocal cords cold, now do we ;) that puzzles me :)

  • Normal logic would say this...but I admit I eat more ice cream during the week of Harmony U than I do the rest of the year...guilty as charged :-D

  • I am an opera singer and I am always amazed at the ability of barbershop singers. Crazy! Love it.

  • actually, barbershop has really changed over the past 100 years, and is rapidly changing still. so maybe you should do some research before you make an ass of yourself on youtube. and why do you put style in quotes? Do you think barbershop doesn't exist or something? or isn't unique?

  • Love Nick's face at 1:05 :')

  • Awesome, can't wait to do one myself!

  • I wish Simon didn't look so displeased with the bass throughout the first tag...just sayin'

  • This is SUCH a fun video to watch! (Well, provided you're a barbershopper.) Thanks for posting it!

  • basses should never be made to sing G natural above middle C in there "chest" voice. i sang along with the high tag in d major and my head damn near exploded. no more singing above D or E for me thanks

  • What fun! Hillarious! So glad you taped it. But face it, if Tim Waurick is in the group, no other group will sing it higher!!!!

  • WHen I first sang in a barbershop quartet (in 1947), it was all about fun. Around 1982, I discovered it was becoming more of a business than a hobby, with extensive screenings as to who could sing in a competing chorus. Choruses got bigger and bigger and more and more professional and for me, the fun evaporated. I used to program woodshedding "contests" and everyone had a good time. It's wonderful to see that at least some of this is still around - with fantastic musicianship thrown in.
