I really like this hatred of Alinsky that the right seems to be stoking. Alinsky was not a Socialist, or even really a political radical. The only thing he did was organize poor people to, in small ways, improve their lot in life. This disdain for a man who did nothing but help the poor betrays their obsession with choking the middle and working classes for the profits of the rich. Really, it is quite a contradiction for a politician to claim adherence to Jesus' teachings but hate Alinsky.

@bkr0127 True. And it really doesn't have much to do with Obama, except that they both happened to be community organizers at one point. Obama came up from the inside, within the system, and he's not radical. The socialism that the goons point to is a health care plan that originated with the Republicans! It utilizes private corporations to provide care, not a government system. But I'm happy they bring Saul's name up, more people need to know about him.
