A prodigy at the piano, Marc Yu wowed IdeaFestival audiences last year with his mastery of complex music. In this IdeaFestival Conversation, he says any child can be as good as he is as long as he or she is dedicated. But, he added, "the thing is, you have to love music."

  • @anonymousQ45 and he can play chopin, liszt and rachmaninoff, atleast try and search for them before posting a stupid comment.

  • @anonymousQ45 This kid is a prodigy. no matter if you accept it or not. Have you heard him play ? He's being modest by saying everone can be like him, because they can't. This kid has worked very hard to become as good as he is now. So stop hating on him, he is awesome. He lives for music, and its just awesome to see him play with his idol Lang Lang.

The fact that you don't see that, says more about you than it does about him.

  • complex music? wheres his chopin? wheres his liszt? rachmaninoff? hes a prodigy because he can play a beethoven concerto? so what. there are 12 year olds who can play the whole set of chopin etudes and they dont get tv specials or label 'prodigy'. that term means nothing now. gifted pianist sure. prodigy? no fcking way

  • A splendid young man. Good luck to him. Thanks for posting. Best wishes.

  • those are some true words bro 5/5
