Furoshiki is a traditional, reusable way of presenting gifts. Faith Nagasawa demonstrates how a simple square cloth can be folded into a delightful--and useful--gift wrap for items of all shapes and sizes. Furoshiki wraps with a built-in handle are great for carrying lunch boxes and picnic foods, as well!

Faith will be wrapping gifts and demonstrating furoshiki live at the Portland Japanese Garden for our Holiday Show and Sale, December 5-24, 2009. www.japanesegarden.com/events

  • I prefer the furoshiki to the drawstring bag because it protects the bottles from hitting and possibly damaging or breaking one another.

  • thank you!
