A Mandelbrot reverse zoom made using ChaosPro no sound. The raw uncompressed video is very clear
on my PC but I could not get decent quality after compression, and youtube's reencoding will make it even worse.
To see the original quality the first and fifth frames of the original video are on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10912969@N03/1925750145/ - the id is flickrnospam.
Because ChaosPro is limited by the floating point processor unit - mantissa apparantly 48 bits on my PC - I had to find a nice looking minibrot at a zoom not greater than 10,000,000,000,000,000 times. Seems a lot but this limits the number of spirals.
This video starts at a zoom around 400,000,000,000,000 times, so I could have zoomed in 25 times closer.
Three times today youtube has reported Failed when I tried to upload this video with sound and with a better quality bitrate. It would be nice if youtube would give more details on why it Failed as I've been trying combinations of compression codecs, bitrates, audio bitrate, etc etc.
My rant is now over.
