This video takes you through the features of the jqUI user interface library (part of the jqMobi HTML5 Mobile app framework). jqMobi is an open source HTML5 mobile-optimized rewrite of the popular jQuery framework, which runs on over 50% of all desktop websites. jqMobi is much faster and smaller, and is designed solely for use on tablets and smartphones. It's available at www.jqmobi.com

Although it's a great effort, I've been using this library for a project and it's been a real pain getting certain things to work form adding right slide panels additional to the left one to styling and adding a date picker, for which I had to look for a plugin which could be adapted to jqMobi, fortunately mobiScroll did the work but the calendar feature is proprietary, while jQM offers this for free.

Seriously, jQuery Mobile has virtually no proper documentation. All there is, is example after example with a bit of explanation. It may be complete, but it feels very incomplete because it doesn't look or behave like a comprehensive documentation like the one for jQuery itself.
That said, documentation for jqMobi and jqUI is essential. ESSENTIAL. A framework can rise or fall by the quality of its documentation.

I must admit, visual design can definitely sway my decision on what framework I try. I tried jqmobi/ui in desperation after giving up on jquery mobile due to its ridiculous approach to how it handles transitions. I have completed the app in jqmobi and it flies. I am really greatful for this framework, but the default UI designs are horrible! Don't let them put you off. I used the design builder to get the base colours then coded in an awesome custom look. I won't look elsewhere, this code rocks.
