We didn't vote for the FCC. They were appointed. So, the way I see it, America owes them nothing. Abolish the FCC.

The 'evil corporations' actually have been using discriminatory practices...

none of tis will make any difference. I signed the petition and completely agree with you. They want to control the internet and they will do it with or without your support. Just look at the war..."nuff said. We need to get to the root of the problem.

I am sure this opinion was formed as a result of a solid knowledge about the operation of large scale computer networks and the potential long term effects of net neutrality, and is not merely a regurgitation of right-wing talking points.

This is really sad as we headed towards Jesus Birth (Christmas), that our government wants to take control of the Internet and at the same time working to appeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" so they will let gays in the military. We need to pray for our country!

easier tracking of people using the internet. when you can track people easier you catch the identity theft, the child pornographers, the copyright theft, the stalking, the defamation o fcharacter, the hacking of government web sites. hackers run free because we cannot regulate this shit. they rarely get caught
did you honestly not know how much the the united states theft is done through the internets? everything you and me do spends 8 minutes in chinese servers. seriously.

Ok well while you figure that out, keep in mind that this "policing" that you think is so very important will spill over when a Republican prez goes to the WH. In fact, I'm sure that if that were the case now you'd be hopping mad about it, moaning about how much of a Fascist Bush was blahblahblahblahblah... As usual, the Bill of Rights only matter to you guys when a Republican threatens it. Silly, really.

What are the "freedoms"? Well either you don't know or you are pretending you don't know. The "freedoms", at its most basic and empirical, comes down to any person anywhere being able to go onto the internet and find any content they want of anyone else anywhere. Can you explain, legally, what that has to do with identity theft? Explain what identity theft has to do with Copps' "value tests"?:

well sir, i do believe i asked you the question first, but ill show this sign of intellectual good will and answer yours first.
on too much crime: regulation is regulation, plain and simple. police are regulation, do you remember the real wild west? well what is going on with internet is basically the equal of that, but there are no guns blazing its just identity theft. if im not mistaken identity theft is the biggest and fasted growing crime
sir please tell me all the freedoms.
I think our pretty friend has it backwards on this one.
Corporations do not want competition. They want monopoly.

Everyone in this country has a free tv station of their very own. Their own web site. Without spending millions. Net Neutrality only keeps it that way by making it the rule of the land. Right now we have neutrality. But the ISP's Bells and cables don't like it. They want to be the only stations in the country. Do you trust them? I don't
I will bet on net neutrality before I trust big corporate america.
