i rememeber watching it soooo sad i miss all the grate race horses and its sad to think that 2 grat filles deide on that track (or moor i don know )

Go for Wand would have won this race, and Im not just saying that because I feel sorry for her, I mean it. And this was the track where the great Ruffian broke down. Go for Wand's leg broke by Ruffian's grave, but she kept running. Then died minutes later.

what do Go for Wand, Barbaro, and Ruffian have in common? You say they broke their legs correct but also they have a name in their history that maybe the reason they brokedown...Native Dancer he was a bad boned great horse that pasted not only his winning skills but his bad bones weak legs...also Bold Ruler was a "soft" horse poor Ruffian never stood a chance with humans added to the mix...Good vid though...

Ohh how sweet! I have a go for wand video to! Though not as good as yours, but still...check it out!
*cries* omg....How aweful. I miss all the past racehorses. I loved them so much. Especially Barbaro. And Lost in the Fog. I feel so bad for doubting Barbaro. I didnt think he could win the T.C. And then He broke down and almost made it, and then I knew he could. I never got to say I was sorry for doubting him. i wanted to and was going to the day after he died. But then he died. and I thought there was no point.

Thank you for not posting the tragic end. I remember watching it on tv , they covered her with a sheet, the crowd in a hush.....my eyes sting thinking of it.
Your work is tasteful and uplifting and I thank you.

I am thinking about posting the video, but I will warn the viewer many times about what is going to happen. =)

Whatever you do, I know it will be done in good taste. Everything you do is in good taste and isn't out to glorify the horror of it, only pay tribute. Perhaps if people see what really happened, they won't look at the sport as being 'cruel' by turning 'babies into athletes'. Maybe they'll see it was purely an accident and those involved were very humane and kind to her in her distress. She was a VERY loved horse by all who knew her.

She was very much loved. She was a great one. I will try to make it as loving-ly (?) as possible, it will be hard but I think I can do it, first I need to get the video!
