In 2000 Barak offered them over 95% of the West Bank all of the Gaza Strip and the Abu Dis (Jerusalem) and Arafat turned it down. He didn't even present a counter offer. He then went home and returned let loose the suicide bombings in an orchestrated campaign of violence against civilians in pizza parlors, night clubs, cafes, and buses. If only he had more interest in negotiating.

It seems that everytime the Palestians and Arabs turn down a deal their situation down the road gets worse.
