Carnton historian, Eric Jacobson talks about Confederate A.P. Stewart's Corps which assaulted the left Union flank at the Battle of Franklin. This is known as the Eastern Flank portion of the Franklin Battlefield. Stewart's Corps came right across the ground or farm that belonged to John and Carrie McGavock.

  • it deserves something more respectful than the rantings of a bad high school thespian. high on emotion light on facts

  • @barackscat Ever been there? The mansion on the property still has blood in the floors upstairs where they did surgeries. They had to 3 times bury piles of arms and legs 2 stories high during the battle. On the property is one of only 3 solely Confederate graveyards. 500+ of the graves are filled with unknown soldiers. It WAS dramatic.

  • overly dramatic
