Christianity plays an important role in the lives of the people of Tuvalu. This particular clip shows one part of the festivities during a wedding ceremony that took place on the island of Vaitupu at the beginning of the year 2007. The next day, a Sunday after the wedding, families of the bride and groom got together for the 2nd time at the island Fale Kaupule or Meeting Hall for a Sunday Meal in honor of the newly weds. After the meal the families gathered into 2 groups to sing and share gospel songs. This is usually regarded as a form of entertainment spiritually for the island people and to worship and praise God at the same time on this Holy day. This video was recorded on Vaitupu in Tuvalu.
