I saw this video in the early 70's when she was on the Muppets. Next to "Long, Long Time, it is my favorite LR song of all time. My God can she sing! and those eyes. Simply beautiful. Timeless.

The difference between youth and the aged is that the young have dreams, the aged have regrets. May we never be too old to have dreams.

God bless you Linda for your voice has truly blessed us.

This was dad's favourite song so it has a special place in my heart (he died in 1989). Linda took it and made it modern with her lovely voice. (I Just wish she had not gone down the standards/big band route). The Muppets were obviously puppets but she breathed life into them. Here, you have to laugh at the "you may, she may but the votes out from the frog". It does look like a conversation. The old do not necessarily have regrets but they do have memories.

I was working as a croupier when I first heard this. Strange as it may seem, all my supremely sophisticated colleagues watched the Muppets in our intervals, It is what I take away from me from that mad year (chips missed and beyond angry punters, having a little Chinese baby named after me, drinks with Hot Chocolate.) . I came to watch them and I liked this. Linda was such a sweet girl.

to further add Linda RONSTADT is so beautiful those eyes!! Omg and many artists have commented that some of their best performances have been on this show it says something about how music can lift and move so many people!!

certainly takes me back to my childhood you can keep Lady Gaga [ not to hate on anyone  ] this was the era where talent was overflowing I find it hard to not tear up listening to this thanks for the post Cheers!

Me too, I sometimes wonder if any of the Muppet performers had to hold in any tears while they were doing this. I wouldn't blame them if they did.
