A heavily waterlogged pitch doesn't stop a Brazilian league match between Itaperuna and Aperibeense going ahead.
Nonostante un forte temporale abbatutosi, l'arbitro non decide di sospendere la partita fra Itaperuna e Aperibeense.
ITAPERUNA Y APERIBEENSE FUTBOL CON AGUA:
El partido entre Itaperuna y Aperibeense tendría que haber sido suspendido. Generalmente cuando la lluvia no deja ver las líneas de la cancha o la pelota no rebota, el árbitro suspende el partido , pero parece que este referí de la segunda división de Brasil tiene un marco de tolerancia bastante amplio en cuanto al agua con la que se puede jugar al futbol.
La mitad del campo de juego estaba completamente inundado, la pelota flotaba como si estuvieran en una pileta, pero para el árbitro esto no era suficiente como para suspender el partido. Además de los 90 minutos del choque de primera también hizo que jugara la reserva el partido preliminar.
A pesar de la cantidad impresionante de agua que había en la cancha de Itaperuna, los locales fueron capaces de marcar un gol y se quedaron con los tres puntos , frente a las quejas de los visitantes para el árbitro al final del partido.
El referí no fue capaz de aclarar en el acta arbitral el estado del campo de juego. Pero dejó asentado en su informe que no le pagaron el dinero correspondiente por arbitrar el partido:

Bei diesen Platzverhältnissen hätte man das Zweitliga-Match zwischen Itaperuna und Aperibeense eigentlich absagen müssen. Aber der Schiri kannte keine Gnade und ließ die 90 Minuten durchspielen.
